Memorial Service - Eltham

November saw the Gwalia travel to Eltham, for a memorial service at the beautiful Holy Trinity Church. The service was for Tony Pratt, a good Welsh friend of Gwalia member Gwyn Thomas.

Although many of the choir had not known Tony, the accolades and humorous anecdotes given by his many friends and family members painted a wonderful picture of his character. It definitely felt like a celebration of Tony’s life.

The congregation then all moved on to Eltham’s Footscray Rugby Club for refreshments, where the choir were asked to start off the evening with a short informal performance. It was a very enjoyable day, sharing the occasion with a very welcoming group of people.
