Gwalia at the Royal Academy

September 30th saw us perform at the Royal Academy in Piccadilly where Chestertons held their Annual Reception at the academy’s Summer Exhibition. The choir performed two sets. The first one from the entrance stairwell, arranged to coincide with invitees arriving to the function, while the second set saw the choir move into the central Gallery amongst the revellers and the artwork. It created a wonderful party atmosphere with quite a few of the wandering audience joining in throughout the set. The excellent acoustics made singing such a pleasure, and allowed the choir to project the performance to all of the adjoining galleries.
