Private Wedding - City of London
The final performance before our Summer Break saw the Gwalia sing at the wonderful St. Lawrence Jewry, next to the Guildhall where we were pleased to sing at the wedding of a relative of our President Cerys Matthews.
The beautiful acoustic of the Sir Christopher Wren church was a joy to sing in, as we entertained the audience with a variety of English and Welsh numbers, while waiting for the arrival of the bride.
Interestingly, the song that produced a standing ovation from the Scottish Groom’s side was ‘Flower of Scotland’. It seemed a very popular addition to the predominately Welsh programme.
